Keith, from rural Oklahoma has had a deep rooted passion for American Classics since he opened his first hotrod magazine at the age of 16. His passion led him to paint, work on, and dream about designing cars. He ultimately enrolled at Tulsa Technical School where he studied auto mechanics and paint and body. He has been a shop hand, painter, body man, and fabricator. Now a designer and owner, Keith has a grounded and professional approach to everything he tackles. His hard work at a collision repair shop and a detail shop finally paid off and landed him his first professional job at Heartland Customs in Oklahoma. This gave him the opportunity to work on some of that shop's most amazing and timeless builds. After 4.5 years a bigger opportunity came knocking. Keith packed up and moved to Texas, where he became the head painter and fabricator at Cars Corvettes and Customs. Impressed with Keiths' skills he was soon involved in the build and design discussions. Four years later Keith was scooped up by one of the top collectors in Texas and tasked with the management and upkeep of their massive collection of cars. Finally, in 2014 Keith ventured out on his own and opened Hickman Creations, now considered on the the premier custom shops in North Texas.
